Stanley Edward Brown

TAHLEQUAH — Services for Stanley Edward Brown, 38, of Tahlequah, will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, at Northside Baptist Church, with Rev. J.E. Cook officiating.

Pallbearers are Larry Moss, Stanley Jones, Art Wilder, Tony Smith, Don Hanna, and Frank McCully.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Bedouin Mounted Patrol.

Stan Brown was born in Oklahoma City on Dec. 6, 1975.

At the age of 2, he was adopted by Stanley H. Brown and Juniata (Baker) Brown.

He passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 17, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa.

Stan lived in Tahlequah all his life attending school here and graduating from Tahlequah High School. In 1999 he married Jamie Wofford.

Stan started working at Northeastern State University as a groundskeeper, when he was a senior in high school, and continued to do so until his passing.

Stan was an active member of the Mason and Shriner organizations and attended Northside Baptist Church.

Stan is preceded in death by his grandmother, Vila Baker; grandparents, Hoyt Brown and Allie Mae Brown; uncle, David Mayes; and cousins, Dave Sprouse and Darrell Hatcher.

He is survived by his wife, Jamie of the home; children, Jacob Brown, 10, and Kyla Brown, 13; his parents, Stanley and Juanita Brown of Tahlequah; and his only sister, Krista Smith, also of Tahlequah.
