TAHLEQUAH — Memorial services for Charles “Dorsey” Brewer, 81, of Tahlequah, are 3 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahle quahfuneral.com

Charles “Dorsey” Brewer was born May 20, 1932, in Enid, to Charles Louis Brewer and Alfreda (Colley) Brewer. He passed away on Oct. 24, 2013, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Dorsey graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City,  and received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1954, from North Texas State University, in Denton, Texas.

From 1954-1956, he served in the armed forces in Germany. He began working in the insurance field as an adjuster and was self-employed in insurance restoration. From his childhood years to present, his hobby was always model airplanes. He loved building and flying his own remote control airplanes and was a member of Three Rivers Area Model Plane Society in Muskogee.

He is survived by his wife, Jane of the home; his children, Gary Brewer, Chelynne Saddler, and Craig Brewer; five stepchildren, Julie Miller, Jayne Coleman, Jim Stookey, Marc Stookey and Michelle Mullins; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
