TAHLEQUAH — Funeral services for Hazel Reeda Smith are Monday, Nov. 26 at Green Country Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Pallbearers are Joshua Hackworth, Wyatt Hackworth, Ryan Smith, Jason Hackworth, Kyle Jewett, and Trenton Lee.

Hazel Smith was born in Tulsa on Sept. 26, 1925, to Martin Tennett Beck and Blanche Mildred (Whiting) Beck. She passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 20, in Tahlequah, at the age of 78.

Hazel married Dwight Woodruff in August 1956. She was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. Hazel worked in the nursing home industry until she retired. She was a devout Christian and loved to crochet, and read her Bible. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She has been preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Blanche Beck; husband Hubert Smith; son, Dewayne Smith; five brothers, Bob Beck, Bill Beck, Buster Beck, Don Beck, and Martin Beck; two sisters, Ruby Beck and Juanita Stanley; and son, Forrest Dewayne Smith.

She is survived by her children, James Woodruff and wife Linda of Bryan, Texas, Kathy Moeller and husband John of Tennessee; Karen Hackworth of Tahlequah, and Deborah McCorkle and Robert of Bryan, Texas; two sisters, Lois Winkle of Tulsa, and Brenda Geraldine Norris of Tulsa; 16 grandchildren, Christina Wilson, Jessica Woodruff, Chris Jewett, Samantha Finch, Ayla Smith, Kyle Jewett, Ashley Hackworth, J.W. Moeller, Katrina Moeller, Wyatt Hackworth, Joshua Hackworth, Ryan Smith, Trenton Lee, Dalton Lee, William Lee, and Mackensie Lee; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as extended family members, friends and loved ones.
