Lonnie Dale Clinton

TAHLEQUAH — Lonnie Dale Clinton was born April 26, 1953, in Tahlequah, to Donald and Rita Clinton. He went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the age of 60.

Dale grew up in the Shady Grove area and graduated from Hulbert High School. Working as an iron worker, he traveled all over the continental United States. Dale was a devoted Christian whose passion was hunting and spending time with his family.

Preceding him in death were his father, Donald; and brother, Larry Clinton.

He is survived by his wife, JoAnne of Hulbert; his mother, Rita Harris and husband Jerry of Westville; daughters, Rita Gail Blaylock of Vian, Shelly Smith of Cookson, and Shannon Fisher-Wacoche of Hulbert; brothers, Gary, Mike, and Donnie Clinton; sisters, Yvonne Commer and Donna Baldridge; grandchildren, J.D. Smith, Cory Smith, Paige Fisher, Haden Smith, Jeffrey and Zachary Hollenbeck, Lexie Holdridge, Coleman Wacoche, and Taia Smithson; great-grandchildren, Layney and Si Smith; many nieces and nephews; and a host of loved ones and friends.

Services are pending at this time with Green Country Funeral Home.
