Milton Noel Mims

TAHLEQUAH — Milton Noel Mims was born on Sept. 9, 1929, in Anococo, La., to Leon Mims and Cordia (Ordett) Mims-Owens. He passed away on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Tahlequah at the age of 84.

Milton married Jenny Lugo on April 13, 1989, in Louisiana. He worked as a fitter welder for Brown and Root for 20 years in Louisiana before retiring and working as an auto mechanic. In 2006, Milton and Jenny moved to Tahlequah to escape the hurricane weather.

Milton had been predeceased by his parents.

His is survived by his wife Jenny, of the home; seven children, Janet Thompson, Merryville, La.; Milton Mims Jr., DeRidder, La.; Benjamin Mims, Houston; Renee Russ, Bay Town, Texas; David Manuel Baez, Shelby, N.C.; Laura Elizabeth Mims, Terresita; and Maria Elena Mims, also of Terresita; fifteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Milton was a much loved husband, and father and will be greatly missed by all.
