She was born in Chelsea, on April 27, 1939, to her mother Maxine Miller. She graduated from Chelsea High School in 1957. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education from Northeastern State University and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1994. Her favorite pastimes, besides being with her family, were listening to Elvis, collecting Elvis memorabilia and taking her annual trip to Graceland.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Miller; grandmother, Bertha Secondine; and nephew, Buckshot Hunt.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Teague of the home; two daughters, Sandra Hayes and husband Tony Hayes of Hulbert, and Gloria Grim and husband Charles Grim of Hulbert; eight grandchildren, Brandon Hayes and wife Jana Hayes of Fort Gibson, DeAndra (Lu) Hayes and fiancé Michael Cates of Hulbert, Danna Hayes and husband Antonio Dominguez of Hulbert, Jake Teague of Hulbert, Chance Buhl of Hulbert, Nick Grim of Hulbert, Steven Grim of Hulbert, and Kristen Grim of Tulsa; one great-grandchild, Brynn Dominguez and a great-grandson on the way; one sister, Jill Miller of Chelsea; three brothers, John Hunt and Karen Hunt of Kailua, Hawaii, Robert and Brenda Hunt of Chelsea, and Ted Hunt of Chelsea; special friend Sheri Winn of Chelsea; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss her.
