HULBERT — Funeral services for Randy Andy Botts will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. at Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor David Jones officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. at Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Hulbert.

Randy Andy Botts was born on Sept. 2, 1955 in Chillicothe, Texas, the son of William Henry and Iva Lena (Jenkins) Botts. He spent his early childhood in Texas and the family later relocated to Oklahoma.

In 1973, he joined the U.S. Marine Corp and served his country. When he returned home, he began his working career as an ironworker, a mechanic, and an embroidery machine mechanic.

Whenever he wasn’t working, Randy enjoyed time spent with his family and friends, sharing a laugh or a good conversation. He loved to ride motorcycles. Randy never met a stranger and genuinely enjoyed people, and talking to them. A Christian by faith, Randy was of the Pentecostal church.

The Lord called Randy from his earthly labors on Saturday, Nov. 23, in Hulbert. Randy was 58 years old. He will be greatly missed by his family and the many friends he has made along the way.

Randy is preceded in death by his mother and his father; two sisters, Maureen Price and Shirley Young; and his daughter, Stephanie Botts.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Tammy Spears, stationed in Washington; and his three brothers, William and Carol Botts of Hulbert; Bobby Botts and wife Betty of Hulbert; and Raymond Botts, also of Hulbert. Randy leaves two sisters, Wanda Kenedy of Arizona and Ruth Wurtzel and husband Kent of Texas. He also leaves one aunt, Minnie Testerman of Muskogee, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends and loved ones.
