Lillie Jumper was born on April 28, 1942, in Liberty, the daughter of Bill Johnson and Beatrice Hughes-Johnson. She attended school at Oaks. On May 8, 1961, she married George Jumper in Tahlequah. This union lasted until George’s passing in 2006. They raised two sons together, George Jr. and Jerry. Lillie was a homemaker. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her cats. She loved to spend the day taking a trip around the countryside with her sons. Lillie enjoyed spending the day at the car races. The best part of any day for Lillie  was just being with her sons and her family. She liked to stay close to home and was content to be with those she loved. A Baptist by faith, she attended Johnson Prairie Baptist Church. The Lord called Lillie home from her labors on Feb. 2, 2013, at her home in Tahlequah. She was 70 years old. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends.

Lillie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George; and sister, Irene Garner, in 2007.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, George Jumper Jr. and Jerry Jumper. Lillie has two brothers and one sister, Felix Johnson and wife Faye of Peggs, Billy Johnson of Moodys, and Ida Drywater of Hulbert. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
