James Arthur Young

TAHLEQUAH — Services for James Arthur Young are at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 5, at Green Country Funeral Home, with Minister Dan Rouse officiating. Pallbearers are Bryan R. Young, Justin Young, Nicholas Young, Dean Kelley, Jacob Keeling, and Jimmy Trammel.

Interment will follow in the Tahlequah City Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

James Arthur Young was born Nov. 9, 1932, in Park Hill, to Scott Young and Viola (Terrell) Young. He passed away on Monday, June 2, in Fort Gibson, at the age of 81.

James is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Sharron Young; son-in-law, Mark Daniel; granddaughter, Brianna Cole; four bothers, Bob, Albert, Lloyd, and Harvey; and sister, Melba.

He is survived by his wife, Dovie, of the home; son, Bryan (Ty) Young and wife Tina of Muskogee; daughters, Donna Daniel of Tulsa, and Susan Young; five grandchildren, Nicholas also of the home, Bryan R. Young, Lindsey Keeling, Drew Daniel, Chloe Daniel; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Lundsford; and many extended family members, friends and loved ones.
