Kim Lee Fox-Fahey

TAHLEQUAH — Funeral services for Kim Lee Fox-Fahey will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Reed-Culver Chapel with visitation being held Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Reed-Culver Chapel.

Interment will be held at Park Hill Cemetery. Online condolences may be left for her family at www.reedculver.com. Pallbearers for Kim include Michael Fox, Tyler Fox, Jeremy Halfacre, Randy Blackman, Matthew Rucker, and Neil Teague.

Kim Lee (Fox) Fahey was born on Sept. 15, 1957 in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of John and Thelma (Teague) Fox. She attended college, when in 1976 in Lorraine, Ohio, she met Paul David Fahey. It was love at first sight and a marriage that lasted until Kim’s passing. This union was blessed with four children: Denise, Shawn, Ashley, and Desiree.

Kim worked for many years outside of the home as a certified nurse’s aide, and you could always tell her cheerful voice followed by that happy smile that she used on all the clients entrusted to her care.

Kim excelled at home. There was nothing as wonderful to her as her husband, children, grandchildren, and family. Her hallmarks were being attentive, loving and generous to a fault. She loved to have her family close by her at all times. Sharing a meal, a cup of coffee, or just a laugh was enough for Kim.

She had the biggest brown eyes that seemed to know whatever you were up to, and she was all smiles when with her grandchildren.

Kim was a Christian by faith and raised a Baptist. When her health began to fail her several years ago, Kim was no longer able to work at the fast and furious pace she enjoyed.

The Lord called Kim from this earthly life on Wednesday, Dec. 4 in Tahlequah, with her loved ones by her side. Kim was 56 years old. Her tenacity for life and her love for her family will be greatly missed.

Kim is preceded in death by her dad; her brother, Mark Fox, in 2013; and her grandparents. Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Thelma, of the home in Tahlequah; her loving husband, Paul Fahey of Tahlequah; and her four children, Denise Rucker and husband Matthew of Park Hill, Shawn Emery of Pennsylvania, Ashley Fahey of Tennessee, and Desiree Fahey of Right City. She leaves three brothers, Jeff Fox and wife Becky of Tahlequah, Wade Fox and wife Delina of Muskogee, and John Fox and wife Linda of Tahlequah.

She also leaves a very dear aunt and close friend, Pam Halfacre and husband Jerry of Tahlequah. Her legacy of laughter and love lives on in her grandchildren, Matthew Rucker II, Shauna Rucker, Veronica Emery, Tristen Emery, Tanner Emery, Tyler Emery, Bailey Fahey, Austin Fahey, Madison Fahey, Chris Fahey, Levi Fahey, Nevaeh Fahey, and Titus Emery; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
