Kyle Dean Kirkpatrick


TAHLEQUAH — Funeral services for Kyle Dean Kirkpatrick, 32, of Hulbert will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, at the 29 Eleven Church in Tahlequah. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 9, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Mayfield.

Serving as pallbearers are Keith Shankle, L.J. York, Kirk Barnett, Richard Kirkpatrick, Chadd Keener, Chance Shankle, Mike Kirkpatrick, and Jeff Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Trent Kirkpatrick, Eric Kirkpatrick, Uncle Ben Kirkpatrick, Randall Shankle, Mike Shepherd, Michael McCully, Daniel Brewer, Kenny White, Kevin Jackson, Joe Knight, Chad Clay, Josh Bangle, Derek Fine, Joshua Shepherd, Raymond Thomas, Wesley Paul, Justin Shepherd, and L.D. Clay.

Interment will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Kyle Dean Kirkpatrick was born June 9, 1981, in Tahlequah, to William Dean Kirkpatrick and Lori (Currey) Shankle. Kyle passed from this world on Saturday, Feb. 1, in Clarksburg, W.V., at age 32.

Kyle is preceded in death by his step father, Kenneth Shankle; step mother, Janna Kirkpatrick; grandfather, Dick Currey; grandmother, Juanita Kirkpatrick; great-grandmother, Bea Harrison; great-great-grandparents, Leonard and Lee Houston; cousins, Jamie Keener, Amanda Shankle, and Megan Shepherd; and aunt, Lisa Curry.

Kyle is survived by his three children, Ben Kirkpatrick, Khayden Kirkpatrick, and Gage Kirkpatrick of Gore; Autumn Kirkpatrick, the mother of his children, also of Gore; his mother, Lori Shankle of Tahlequah; father, Dean Kirkpatrick and wife Tomi of Hulbert; siblings, Keith Shankle and wife Michelle, Kari Fine and husband Derek, Lacey Bangle and husband Josh, Chance Shankle and fiancé Brooke Nichols, Whitley Kirkpatrick, Rachel Westmoreland, and Trent Kirkpatrick; brother-in-law, Chad Clay; sisters-in-law, Summer Clay, and Krysten Knight and husband Joe; father and mother-in law, L.D. and Phyllis Clay; special friend, Andrea Sprague; grandparents, Mary Shankle, Jim and Cindy Kirkpatrick, Lois and Don Bolding, Richard and Judy Paul; grandparents-in-law, Tom and Ruth Shirley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kyle went through the eigthth grade at Shady Grove Elementary. He then attended Hulbert High School and was a 1999 graduate.

Kyle loved the Lord and his family. He loved to spend time outside with his children, playing baseball, being on the monkey bars and having Gage on his hip. He enjoyed taking an annual fishing trip with his friends, riding motorcycles and four wheelers and playing hide and seek on the four wheelers. He loved watching and would make every effort to see Eric, Brody, and Ben play baseball. Kyle had a playful personality and enjoyed teasing and playing fun jokes on others. He was a very loving, loyal, and sensitive person to others also. He was always taking his own time to help others when he saw a need. Kyle would always check on family members, and friends by phone. He had a great respect for his family, friends and his elders. He had a gift of remembering all the families birthdays.
