Richard Hawkins

SALLISAW — Richard Hawkins, 51, of Sallisaw, passed away Sunday, Feb. 23, in Sallisaw.

He was born Nov. 24, 1962 in Sallisaw, the son of Amos and Norma (Linduff) Hawkins. He married Lisa Henson on Sept. 3, 1983 in Tahlequah. He was a graduate of Sallisaw High School and attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. He was a salesman and sales manager and a Protestant.

Survivors are wife, Lisa, of the home; twin sons, Matt Hawkins and wife Ashley of Roland, and Chad Hawkins and wife Amanda of Roland; three grandsons, Hunter, Caleb and Caden; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Karen Hawkins of Sallisaw; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Andy and Dwight Jackson of Round Rock, Texas, and Vicki and Rick Agent of Sallisaw; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Leroy Henson of Porter; two sisters-in-law: Terry Lang and husband Larry of Porter, and Shanon Henson of Porter; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Norma Hawkins; and brother, Mike Hawkins.

Funeral service is Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church in Sallisaw, with Tom Hawkins and Kurt Henry officiating.

Burial will be at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.

Viewing is Tuesday, Feb. 25, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will greet from 5–7 p.m.

Active Pallbearers are nephews: Josh Hawkins, Clint Agent, Clay Agent, John David Jackson, James Jackson, Daniel Jackson, Dennis Lang and Tyler Lang

Honorary Pallbearers are 1980 State Champion Black Diamond Football Team, Sam Randolph, Mark Kirton, Mike Adams, Robert Fuller, Terry Sanders, Dave Lockhart and Dr. Ben Cheek.

Memorial contributions may be made to Reynolds Center Support House, 3324 South M Street, Ft. Smith, AR.
