TAHLEQUAH — Memorial services for Deborah Lynn Self-Watson, 57, of Tahlequah, will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013, at Green Country Funeral Home.

Deborah Lynn Self Watson was born May 22, 1956, in Stillwater, to Jerry Noel Self and Rosemary (Keene) Self. She passed away on Sept. 25, 2013, in Tahlequah, with her family by her side.

Deborah was a 1974 graduate of Tahlequah High School. The following year, in 1975, she and Greg Watson married. Deborah would later attend Northeastern State University, where she completed her Master’s Degree majoring in Counseling and Psychology. She began her career at the Cherokee County Health Department until her retirement.

Deborah loved to read and maintained a personal library in her home. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Deborah was a member of the Baha’i faith.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Elisha Watson-Nagorka and husband Peter of Cape Cod, Mass., and a granddaughter to be born in November; parents, Rosemary and Jerry Self of Tahlequah; sister, Teresa Self, and her companion, Jack Doshier of Tahlequah; brother, Jerry Self Jr. of Tahlequah; nephews, Victor Alan Stevens of Tahlequah, and Nathan Kyle Stevens and companion Laura Coger of Tahlequah; her lifelong friend, Cheryl Sanders; and many other friends and loved ones.
