Peggy Joan Howard

TAHLEQUAH — TAHLEQUAH – Funeral services for Peggy Joan Howard, 58, of Tahlequah, are 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at Green Country Funeral Home. Officiating will be Chaplain Bill Holcomb.

Arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Peggy Joan Howard was born March 22, 1955, in Taylorville, Ill., to Lawrence Ellinger and Betty (Whitehead) Ellinger. She passed away on Aug. 7, 2013, at her home in Tahlequah.

Growing up in Taylorville, Ill., Peggy attended school and was a graduate of Taylorville High School. For 15 years, she was employed as a Hemodialysis Technician at Davita Dialysis in Tahlequah. While working there, she got to know and love her patients, as they did her.

Peggy enjoyed celebrating holidays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, and time spent together with her family on their birthdays.

She loved reading, doing crafts, and occasional trips to the casino.

Peggy has been preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence Ellinger and Betty Pruitt; and brother Larry.

She is survived by her son, Ernie Foraker of Springfield, Ill.; daughters, Nicole Martinez and Mara Medlin, both of Tahlequah; four siblings, Sheila of Tahlequah, Chuck of Missouri, Dale of Illinois and Linda of Oklahoma; her father, Bob Pruitt of Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.
