Monte Wayne Strout

TAHLEQUAH — Services for Monte Wayne Strout, 69, of Tahlequah, will be held at 10 a.m., Monday May 13, 2013, at Green Country Funeral Home, with Rev. Gene Ruth Brumback officiating.

Final arrangements have been placed under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.

Monte Wayne Strout was born Aug. 6, 1943, in Sand Springs, to Elmer Monte Strout and Grace (Wheeler) Strout.

He passed away in Tulsa, on May 8, 2013.

Monte grew up in Sand Springs and was a 1961 graduate of Sand Springs High School.

He attended Oklahoma State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and film. Monte earned his Jurisprudence Doctorate Degree from the University of Tulsa in 1979.

Monte worked as first assistant for the district attorney’s office, and opened two law offices of his own, one in Tahlequah and the other in Stilwell.

Monte had many diverse hobbies. He enjoyed fishing, golf, hunting, boating on the lake, and restoring collectable autos. He also liked to travel, domestically and to foreign countries.

Monte has been preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Irina, of the home; a son, Christopher Strout and wife Teeia of Newalla; his daughter, Robin Hutson and husband Ed of Boston, Mass.; mother-in-law, Svetlana Simonova; sister, Helen Brown-Fisher of Sand Springs; and brother, Jerry Strout and wife Judy of Tulsa, as well as many other colleagues and friends.
