TAHLEQUAH — Services for Joyce Davis are Thursday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Hulbert. Officiating will be Rev. Glen Rowan.

Pallbearers are: Robert Garza, Johnny Morrison, Marty Wynn, Larry Halpain, Tristain Brave and Herbert Davis. Interment will follow in the Hulbert Cemetery under the care of Green Country Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at tahlequahfuneral.com.

Joyce Davis was born Jan. 19, 1935, in Hulbert, to Edgar Wilkey and Rhoda V (Patrick) Wilkey. Joyce passed away on July 27, 2013, at her home in Hulbert, at the age of 78.

Joyce grew up in Hulbert (down Clear Creek at the prairie)

 She attended Prairie School through the eighth grade and was a 1953 graduate of Hulbert High School.

Joyce enjoyed going to local and professional music shows and traveling with her friend Charles, hummingbirds, and working crossword puzzles.

Joyce was a member of Hulbert First Baptist Church, joining in the early 1990s. She had been the manager of the Western Hill Gift Shop for nearly 20 years.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Rhoda Wilkey; husband, George Davis; sister, Margie Spears; brother-in-law, "Sonny" Blynn Spears; grandson, Derek Seagle; brother-in-law, Roy Hathcock; and niece Marisa L. (Hathcock) Spalding.

She is survived by her daughters, Anita Seagle of Hulbert, and Georgia Webb and husband Bob also of Hulbert; three grandsons, Adam Seagle of Hulbert, Scott Switzer and wife Tammie of Qualls; and Bob Ed Webb and wife Cheryl of Lost City; granddaughter, Dana Richardson and husband Jeb of Tahlequah; great grandson, Sidney Lee Seagle of Coweta; great grand daughter, Kaylee Switzer of Qualls; her sister, Norma Hathcock of West Plains, MO; three nephews, Bryce Hathcock and Kris of West Plains, MO, Eddie Spears of Tahlequah, and Alan Spears of Florida; a niece, Patti Ann Ayala of Tahlequah; and special friends, Charles Brave and Tristan Brave; as well as numerous other family members, friends and loved ones too numerous to mention.
