Lee Roy (LR) Perkins II

TAHLEQUAH — Lee Roy (LR) Perkins II, 54, of Hulbert, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Oklahoma University Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 20, 1958, in Sapulpa. His father was Lee Roy Perkins Sr. of Bixby, and his mother was Shirley (Stephens) Butts of Okemah.

Lee Roy was a high school graduate of Glenpool, where he played softball and football. Lee Roy worked as a commercial painter.

Survivors are his spouse, Nora Perkins of Hulbert; daughters, Desia Ray Jones of Mounds, Amber Michelle Smith of Sapulpa, and Deisha Leigh Perkins of Independence, Kan.; sons, Lee Roy Perkins III of Tulsa, Audie Taylor Alexander Perkins and Zackery Dalton Perkins of Hulbert; brothers, Mirl Ray Kellogg of Skiatook, Charlton Kellogg of Louisiana, Jamie Kellogg of Sapulpa and Shannon Perkins of Prue; sister, Tonya Perkins of Tulsa; and eight wonderful grandchildren.

Lee Roy is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Stephens Butts; second mother, Sue Swarer of Prue; sisters, Laqueta Perkins of Prue and Teresa Rena’ Perkins Caraker of Rogersville, Mo.; and brother, Audie K. Kellogg.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 6, at the Hulbert High School Auditorium.
