PARK HILL -- Graveside services for Jessie Drain, 57, of Tahlequah will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in the Park Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Elder Curtis Davis. Serving as pall bearers are Bob Bransfield, Ray Shamlin, David Wright, James Wagers, Eddie Honeycutt, Jerry Belton, David West, and Steve Morton. Interment will follow under the care of Green Country Funeral Home.
Jessie was born Dec. 27, 1949 in Marble City, the son of Jack and Adron (White) Drain. He passed from this life on Nov. 9, 2007, at Tahlequah.
Jessie was a loving husband and father always providing for his family. He was very supportive of his children and wife. He had worked at Indian Capital Vo Tech for 19 years. Jessie retired three years ago as transportation director due to his health. He loved working on old cars and was in the process of restoring two. He also loved fishing. Jessie wore many hats during his life including owning his own business, a salvage yard and wrecker business in Marble City.
Jessie has been preceded in death by his parents, Adron and Jack Drain; and father-in-law, Junior Lee Campbell.
Cherishing his memory are his wife Frances Drain of the home; a son, Jackie Drain and his wife, Lori; daughters Deanna Drain and fiancé, Johnny Coats, and Kerri Drain and fiancé, Dustin Wuensche; three grandsons, Alex Coats, Jessie W. Patrick, and Conner W. Drain, all of Tahlequah; a sister, Joy Randels, and husband, Bruce; brothers, Jackie L. Drain and Vernon W. Drain and wife, Jeany; several nieces and nephews, all of Marble City; brother-in-law Lee Campbell and wife, Sheila, of Stedman, N.C.; sister-in-law Jean Griffin and husband, David, of Mountain Home, Ark.; mother-in-law Ann Campbell of Stilwell; and many other relatives, friends, and loved ones too numerous to mention.
Jessie was a beloved friend to many and a man who never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
