Funeral services for Naomi Ellen Whaler-Willis will be held on Tuesday, March 18, at 10 a.m. at the Reed-Culver Chapel with Pastor Don Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Pumpkin Center Cemetery.

Naomi Ellen Willis was born on March 9, 1937, at Pumpkin Hollow Community in Cherokee County, the daughter of Eli and Dora Ellen Whaler. She attended school in Tahlequah. She married the love of her life, Theodore Alexander Willis, on Nov. 29, 1961 in Bellaire, Texas. This union was blessed with 52 years and six children in the home.
Naomi was a scrub technician and homemaker who loved caring for her husband and children. She loved to keep up with all their activities and any time spent with her family was a good day. She liked time spent in the garden and raised beautiful vegetables and flowers. She was gifted with a needle and made beautiful quilts. She made jewelry as well.
She was so very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She watched their accomplishments and supported them in any way she could. Naomi was a member of the Baptist faith.
Naomi passed from this life on March 14, at her home. She will be greatly missed by her many family and friends. Naomi was 77 years old.
Naomi is preceded in death by her mother, father, and one brother, John Whaler. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Ted Willis of the home in Welling; one son, Leslie Willis of the home in Welling; five stepdaughters, Sue Anne Couts-Guest of Houston, Bluie Mayes of Fort Gibson, Kaye Lynne English of Houston, Margie Emilie Batchelor of Missouri City, Texas, and Deborah Jean Marsh of Pearland, Texas; 12 adored grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
