Charles “Junior” Dreadfulwater


STILWELL — Graveside services for Charles “Junior” Dreadfulwater will be held Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at the Park Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Cook officiating.

Interment will follow under the care and direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.

Charles Dreadfulwater, the son of Charlie W. and Georgia (Cochran) Dreadfulwater, was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Tahlequah, Okla., and departed this life on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 in Tahlequah, Okla., at the age of 69 years, 9 months and 23 days.

Charles was a good-hearted man who enjoyed life and would do anything for anybody. He loved his children and enjoyed the years he had with them.

Charles was a “shade tree” mechanic and enjoyed fixing cars. He enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee and talking, once he got to know you. He was very quiet until he got to know you.

He attended the Chilocco Indian School growing up. Charles touched many lives and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; his parents; his son, Charles Dale Dreadfulwater; a brother, Jerry Dreadfulwater; and a sister, Peggy Wilson.

He is survived by a loving family, which includes his daughter, Rana Dreadfulwater of Tulsa; his brothers, Jess Dreadfulwater and wife Diane of Welling, Henry Dreadfulwater and wife Cathy of Sallisaw, Dean Dreadfulwater of Tulsa and Thomas Dreadfulwater and wife Gayle, also of Tulsa; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives also survive him.
