Those who are looking to get out of the house for Christmas dinner are in luck. A number of entities are offering alternatives.
The list includes:
• Good News of the Kingdom will host a free community Christmas lunch on Wednesday, Dec. 25, from11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Cherokee County Community Building. Donations of cakes, pies, and other desserts can be dropped off at the building on Tuesday, Dec. 24. Volunteers are needed to help serve the meal. • Peggs Community Church, 6459 State Highway 82, is having a Christmas program on Sunday, Dec. 22. Morning worship services will be held at 11 a.m., followed by lunch in the activity building. The program will be begin at 2 p.m. Call (918) 598-3126 for more information.
• Go Ye Village will host Christmas Dinner Wednesday, Dec. 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the dining room. Cost is $9.99 per person.
• Trail’s End Kuntry Market, 15188 S.H. 82 North, is hosting a traditional home-cooked Christmas meal from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20. The meal is by reservation only, and will be served hourly. The menu includes oven-baked turkey or ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry salad, choice of buttered corn or mixed vegetables, garden salad, rolls, dessert, and drinks with free refills.
