Boatright background

TAHLEQUAH — Dr. Kirk Boatright founded Training Consultants International, and its parent company Engineering Consultants International, in 1980.

He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a Ph.D. in engineering science from the University of Arkansas.

From 1962-81 he was a member of the faculty at Northeastern State. He served on the physics faculty and chaired the Division of Natural Science and Mathematics before being named dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. While at Northeastern, he developed the bachelor of science in engineering physics program and was instrumental in the establishment of the NSU Oklahoma College of Optometry.

Before joining the Northeastern faculty, Boatright worked for the Jersey Production Research Corporation of Exxon and the Pan American Petroleum Corporation of Amoco in Tulsa. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
