OKC Thunder name 2 new assistant coaches

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder has named two new assistant coaches to its bench.

General Manager Sam Presti announced Wednesday that Robert Pack and Mike Terpstra have been added to the list of assistant coaches for the team.

They join Rex Kalamian, Mark Bryant and Brian Keefe on Head Coach Scott Brooks' bench.

Pack has spent the previous three seasons as an assistant coach with the Los Angeles Clippers. He spent one season with the New Orleans Hornets before that. He is a 13-year veteran of the NBA.

Terpstra has spent time working at the college, junior college and high school levels, as well as the NBA Development League and the CBA. He played professionally in Turkey, England and Australia.

OSU appreciation day for fans set for Saturday

STILLWATER — Fans of Oklahoma State football can see their favorite Cowboy players and coaches up close on Saturday during Fan Appreciation Day.

The event kicks off at 2 p.m. at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the event runs to 4 p.m.

The OSU Spirit Squad, Pistol Pete and others will provide entertainment throughout the event.

OSU non-conference basketball schedule

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State University has released its non-conference basketball schedule for the coming season that includes a home game against Memphis.

OSU head coach Travis Ford released the schedule Wednesday.

OSU will open the season on Nov. 8 at home against Mississippi Valley State — then host Utah Valley State on Nov. 12 and Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Nov. 15 before the Nov. 19 game against Memphis that will be televised by ESPN.

Other non-conference games include Purdue in the Old Spice Classic in Florida, South Carolina in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, South Florida, Delaware State, Colorado, Robert Morris and the All-College Classic in Oklahoma City in December.
