MACU women’s basketball to square off with ORU

OKLAHOMA CITY — The Mid-America Christian University women’s basketball team will play an exhibition game against NCAA Division I Oral Roberts University.

The Nov. 8 matchup with the Golden Eagles will mark the second straight season the Lady Evangels have faced a Division I opponent in Tulsa. They played the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane last year.

ORU head coach Misti Cussen led ORU to the Southland Conference title and an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament in her first year at ORU last season.

Mid-America head coach Marcus Moeller says the team’s excited by the early season test at ORU. Her team has eight new players and another that was redshirting due to injury. ORU has 10 new players and another that was sitting out due to NCAA transfer rules.
