Tahlequah police are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a local woman.
The victim, 23, went to W.W. Hastings Hospital Sunday. Medical services personnel there notified police and Sgt. Steve Young took the initial report. The woman said she was at a friend’s house when the incident allegedly occurred.
Police arrested Bretly Ray Crawford, 36, Saturday for domestic violence after he allegedly physically assaulted Billie Johnson. Johnson had knots near her left eye and left ear and injuries to her forehead and hands, lips and a loose tooth. She suffered a concussion as a result of the incident.
In an unrelated matter, a 14-year-old boy was arrested for burglary and knowingly concealing stolen property. Officer Sam Jackson took the initial report from Joseph Lanza, who called police Saturday after the suspect’s mother returned his wallet and checkbook. She said found the items near her house. Police asked permission to speak to her son and discovered more property taken in the burglary in the boy’s home. Even more property was found at another home.
Contu Martinez said Saturday he was hit with a beer bottle.
Jason Junkins reported an assault Sunday with a belt.
James Simon, 28, was arrested Sunday for public drunk and possession of paraphernalia.
Michael Hummingbird, 50, was arrested for following too closely, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving under suspension Saturday.
Jeannie Duck was arrested Sunday morning for DUI.
Valerie Lindsey was booked for petit larceny Friday after allegedly taking Clairol hair products at Reasor’s.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested for vandalism and resisting arrest after allegedly breaking the taillight out of a car Friday.
Jennifer Wright told officers Sunday someone took some of her Xanax pills.
William Guest said Friday that someone took a desktop computer, monitor and cash.
Stephen Stierwalt’s 1994 Chevrolet taken in Tahlequah was found on Interstate 40 Friday in Santa Rosa, N.M.
Terry Bigby’s 1991 Jeep was found Saturday in Tahlequah after being stolen at an earlier date.
Cecil Vann said Saturday another vehicle pushed a cart into his vehicle in the Reasor’s parking lot.
Elias Contreras told officers Saturday his 2005 Terminator GS 31 motorcycle was stolen.
Linda Clanton told officers Friday someone took some of her checks and forged one of them.
