Police report for Friday, May 16

Tahlequah police have arrested a local man Thursday for drunken driving, reports state.
John Wade, 32, was booked by Officer Sam Jackson for DUI and transporting an open container. Jackson stopped the vehicle after seeing it accelerate at a high rate of speed in rainy conditions. Wade allegedly told Jackson he’d been drinking since 10 p.m. Wednesday and had approximately 10 beers.
In an unrelated matter, Gregory Lahamon, 35, was arrested by Officer Todd Carnes Wednesday on outstanding warrants and possession of a controlled drug. Lahamon allegedly failed to come to a complete stop at a stop sign and was stopped by Carnes.
