‘Spice’ incident reported

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies spoke to a woman on Thursday who said other people had given her son a synthetic substance.

The woman said her son and her son’s friend were given the substances, often referred to as “spice,” and her son ended up in an emergency room. The people who provided the substances to the child later began to harass her, she said.

Chester Bailey spoke to police Thursday and said someone wrote and signed checks on his deceased mother’s checking account.

Tandi Robertson spoke to deputies about a bogus check Thursday.
