Assault spurs arrest

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local woman Monday after an assault.

Michelle Leann Flowers, 18, of Tahlequah, was booked for domestic assault and battery. Police responded to the 1,100 block of Rozell Avenue, where witnesses had blocked Flowers in after an alleged assault occurred. Witnesses claimed Flowers shoved a 62-year-old woman back into a car when the woman was trying to get out. The victim told police Flowers punched her left arm and grabbed her, causing her arm to bleed in several places.

Police arrested Brandion J. Looney, 32, of Tahlequah, for driving under the influence Monday.

Patricia Bryant spoke with officers Monday about the violation of a protective order.

Josefa Salazar told police a window was shattered out of an office at Tahlequah Terrace Apartments Monday.

Phillip Butler spoke with police recently after a check was written on his account without his knowledge or approval.

Jessica Petty spoke with police Friday about unauthorized charges being made on her school card.
