Police Beat: Traffic stop leads to arrest on DUI charges

TAHLEQUAH — A traffic stop near Choctaw and West streets late Wednesday evening ended with an arrest.

Kyle Soldier, 24, of Kansas, Okla., was stopped for a license-plate violation and was later arrested for driving under the influence.

In other matters, police filed a report Tuesday after two long rifles were found on property of the Tahlequah Municipal Airport. One gun is a Marlin and the other a Bighorn black powder, police said.

Jimmi Buckhorn told police her license plate was stolen from her vehicle Wednesday.

Tammy Jenson told police she was assaulted and shoved out of a truck and into a ditch this week.

Bethany McDonald reported the theft of medication this week.
