Man arrested for DUI on lawnmower

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man Monday morning who was allegedly driving a lawn mower down the road while he was intoxicated.

Police said they responded to the area of Delaware and Morris at about 12:30 Monday morning after a caller reported a “drunk man” driving the mower up and down the road. Police stopped Herbert D. King, 45, of Tahlequah, who was described as being “very intoxicated,” and arrested him for driving under the influence of alcohol.

In other matters, Jarayh Florence, 18, of Pawhuska, was arrested Saturday for DUI. Police stopped Florence after noticing the vehicle she was driving had a broken light.

Officers filed a report Sunday after a vehicle stolen in Adair County was recovered in the Walmart parking lot in Tahlequah.

Chastity Radanovich filed a report last week after her car was struck in a parking lot and pushed out of the space.

Shannon Flippo filed a report Sunday after she allowed a man to borrow her car, and he refused to bring it back.

David Baker reported a car-hauling trailer stolen last week.

Kimberly Dawson reported harassing phone messages recently.

Linda Hodges filed an Internet fraud report last week.

Michael Cobb told police his car was broken into last week.

Tony Boyle spoke to police last week after conducting a business inventory at BS&G and realizing a gun was missing.

Joyce Willis filed a report last week about a tenant who took items that belonged to Willis when he moved out of the residence.

Police were called to Jimmy’s Egg last week for a disturbance and spoke to Stephen Coon, who said a woman became angry and threw utensils at him, striking him in the forehead. Coon did not want to press charges, police said.

Joanne Chinzi spoke to officers Friday after a suspect drove up behind her, while she was sitting in her vehicle, and bumped her car with his.
