Police Beat: Assault on woman reported

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local man over the weekend after he allegedly assaulted a woman.

Francisco Reyes Carrera, 22, of Tahlequah, was booked into jail for domestic assault and battery in the presence of minor child. Carrera allegedly assaulted the woman by pushing her and slapping her on the face.

Chandan Bryan Thomas Vance, 18, of Tahlequah, was arrested Sunday for violation of a protective order.

In other matters, Janina Nolan told police her residence was burglarized recently.

Jennifer Harris told police her vehicle was burglarized over the weekend.
