Tahlequah man arrested for violation of probation

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a Tahlequah man last week after they tried serving a warrant for probation violation on West Choctaw Street.

Tommy Lee Thompson, 21, was booked into jail for obstruction. Deputies said Thompson went out the back door of the home when officers arrived, and ran back inside when he spotted one deputy. The deputy ordered Thompson to stop, but he failed to comply and shut the door as he went back into the home. Deputies said the door was held shut as they tried to enter. Thompson later said he didn’t know why he ran, but believed he had paid on his court case and shouldn’t be sought on a warrant. Deputies confirmed the warrant was valid and took Thompson to jail.

In other matters, Sandra Boatwright told deputies last week that she was assaulted by a family member.

Lisa Foreman-Buckner filed a threats report Monday.

Jesse Keys filed an information report last week.

Members of Crescent Valley Baptist Church told deputies Sunday that two unidentified men took three air units that were outside the church’s gymnasium.

Merrill Bumbaugh reported fuel stolen out of his aircraft at the Cookson airport.

Charles Hilton filed an information report Sunday.

Lauren Reagan told deputies recently that she tried to buy a bulldog on the Internet and was defrauded by the company selling the dog.

Eddie Williams told deputies recently that a truck belonging to a home-furnishings store backed into his mailbox.
