Police Beat: Police arrest man in wake of assault on West Keetoowah

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man Thursday night after a reported assault on West Keetoowah Street.

Jimmy Dale Briggs, 33, was booked into jail for assault with a dangerous weapon. Police said Briggs used a flashlight to threaten a couple of people.

Davan S. Davis, 23, of Jay, was arrested Friday after a crash near Muskogee and Downing. Davis, who was driving one of the vehicles, was arrested for driving under the influence, according to police.

Officers responded to Walmart Thursday even-ing when a juvenile shop-lifter was caught there.

Brad Pillay filed a vandalism report Thursday.

Kimberly Bray reported the violation of a protective order last week and said the suspect sent her a friend request on Facebook.

Jeannette Wilson re-ported the theft of property from her home Thursday.

Misty Rife filed an information report last week.

Cody Nissen filed a report last week when his vehicle was burglarized.
