Sheriff Report: Man jailed for assault

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested a local man last week after responding to an assault report.

John Calvin Stopp, 36, was booked for domestic assault and battery for allegedly pulling a woman’s hair.

Imogene Case, 29, of Tahlequah, was arrested Thursday for driving under the influence, driving under revocation, and no insurance.

Josephine Ann Noline, 45, of Tahlequah, was arrested Thursday for public intoxication.

James Anderson filed a report last week about the theft of a cook stove and other items.

Charles York reported the theft of a trailer last week.

Frankie Killer filed a vandalism report Wednesday.
