Pair arrested after fight

TAHLEQUAH — Two people were arrested by Tahlequah police last week after an altercation at the Holiday Inn Express.

William J. Leach, 30, of Watts, and Chad A. Cummings, 27, of Kansas, Okla., were booked for public intoxication and vandalism to private property. Police said the two were involved in a fight inside a motel room.

In other matters, police took a report Thursday from Celeste Matoy, who said a neighbor used her electricity for a rent house for about 10 days. Matoy said the neighbor had permission to use the electricity for an hour.

Employees at Walmart spoke to police last week about a theft.
