Police Beat: Police arrest man with grinder and marijuana

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a 28-year-old man late Tuesday evening near Seminary and Seneca.

Officer Pam Bell said she was patrolling the area when she noticed Gerald D. Jones, 28, of Tahlequah, sitting on a bicycle at the corner. Bell stopped to speak with Jones, and he was ultimately arrested after a grinder and marijuana were found in his possession.

Tammy M. Treat, 43, of Park Hill, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly shoplifting from Wal-Mart. Treat took merchandise from the pajama section and went through the store’s self-checkout line, but failed to pay for a shirt, police said, and instead concealed it among other clothes.

Jayma L. Drain, 26, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly shoplifting two 30-packs of Budweiser from Reasor’s. Police said she was also charged with public intoxication. Drain allegedly had a breath-alcohol content of .12 when she was booked.

Deborah Rader spoke with officers Tuesday to report suspicious activity by the driver of a moving truck.

Rhonda Easley told police Tuesday that her wallet was stolen while she was shopping at Wal-Mart.

Misty Tyler told police Monday about being harassed.
