Man arrested for allegedly assaulting girl

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man Monday evening after he allegedly assaulted a girl.

Jeffrey W. Timms, 45, was booked into jail for allegedly assaulting a juvenile family member. The girl got away from Timms when he passed out from drinking alcohol.

James G. Smith, 49, was arrested Monday when he allegedly hit Kathleen Fain in the head with a small flashlight.

Police spoke to Malene Peters on Monday when she was assaulted during a confrontation.

Officers took a report from Stuteville Ford employees this week after an inventory revealed a 2012 Ford truck is missing.

Lori Leatherman spoke to police Tuesday after unauthorized purchases were made on her account.

Cleo Gomez reported being assaulted Tuesday at Walmart.

Officers took a report Sunday when an inflatable Santa decoration was stolen out of a yard in the 300 block of West Ross.

Police on Monday seized a red and silver smoking pipe and a small amount of a green, synthetic substance that was found in a parking lot.

Employees at Dano’s spoke with officers Monday after suspect entered the store and took a six-pack of Budweiser beer, then left in a light blue or silver Ford Ranger. About 15 minutes earlier, employees at X-Press Stop on North Grand said a man walked into the store, grabbed a 12-pack of Budlight and left in gray Ford Ranger. They were able to get a tag number.

Sandra Becker spoke with police Tuesday about her driver’s license and ATM card missing.

Vickie Cline reported being assaulted Tuesday.
