Woman tries to wiggle out of jail by asking to be taken to friend’s
A 39-year-old Tahlequah woman arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol over the weekend allegedly asked deputies to drop her off at a friend’s home instead of the jail.
Women gets meth plea deal
Prosecutors have entered a plea agreement with a woman arrested late last year for endeavoring to manufacture methamphetamine.
Misty Hayes Paden, 43, of Muskogee, pleaded no contest to her charges and was handed a seven-year suspended sentence, plus fines and court costs. Paden is required to register as a “methamphetamine offender,”
‘Nervous’ man nailed for drugs
Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies arrested an 18-year-old Tahlequah man last week after a traffic stop near Garden Walk Apartments.
Deputy Bryan Qualls said he was traveling through the apartment complex when he saw a Ford Mustang heading toward him, with a man sitting on the trunk of the car. Qualls stopped the vehicle, driven by Larry David Welch.
Child abuse charges dismissed
Child abuse charges against a Wagoner woman have been dismissed by Cherokee County prosecutors.
