Prosecutors have filed felony charges against a man who allegedly stole and sold a game system in June.

Lewis Gifford Davis, 33, is charged with knowingly concealing stolen property, a charge he’s faced multiple times in Cherokee County.

According to a report filed by Tahlequah Police Sgt. Jason Girdner, Chelsea Davis called officers June 21 and said an Xbox 360 was stolen from her home.

A week later, Chelsea Davis called police when she arrived at a local business to buy a new Xbox, and discovered the gaming system she was buying was the one stolen from her.

Employees of the business provided Girdner with a receipt and surveillance footage showing Lewis Davis sold the system at the business for $41 on June 21.

Knowingly concealing stolen property is punishable by not more than five years in prison, up to a year in the county jail, and a fine of up to $500.
