Woman reports items missing from home

TAHLEQUAH — Deputies of the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a burglary at a residence on Thursday.

A Tahlequah woman reported that her home on Bryant Road was burglarized while she was away. Reports filed by deputies indicate the front door was kicked in. Missing were Christmas gifts, clothing, board games, a mirror, a 7-inch Nextbook tablet, a 52-inch TV and a 50-inch Sony LED TV, serial no. 3043679, model no. kdl46ex523. Two suspects were named.

Also on Thursday, Chase Bank contacted the sheriff’s department to report a breaking and entering at a house on Ranch Acre Drive near Jones Road. The bank reported copper was cut from the hot water tank, the garage door was opened, and a car and people had spent a night inside, sometime between Dec. 15-19. Estimated damage was $600.

On Wednesday, a Tahlequah woman complained to deputies she had received a threatening phone call from a man from whom she seeking child support.

Another Tahlequah woman reported Wednesday she was being stalked and harassed by her ex-boyfriend. Deputies contacted the suspect’s mother and asked her to tell her son not to visit the woman’s home.

On Tuesday, a Tahlequah man reported thefts from a storage building on his property. Missing from the building were a 2-ton chain, 200 feet of copper welding leads, a 5-ton winch, electric supplies, a safety harness, a tool box and a gallon bucket of screws and nails.
