Police Beat: OKC woman suspected in shoplifting case

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah Police Department officers took custody of a woman suspected of shoplifting Tuesday.

Taylor R. Propst, 23, of Oklahoma City was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at the Walmart Supercenter at 2020 S. Muskogee Ave. Police were called to the business after Propst was apprehended by asset protection. TPD officers transported her to the police department, where she was booked on a charge of petit larceny.

On Wednesday, a woman reported her apartment on Pamela Street burglarized, and that several collection cards were missing.

Police also took two walk-in reports on Tuesday, one from a woman citing violation of a protective order, and another from a woman claiming harassment by another woman.

On Saturday, police responded to a complaint of an assault and battery in progress at North Bliss Avenue and East Crafton Street. A man reported being the victim of a strong-arm robbery. No arrest was made.

Kasi Hooper, 21, of Park Hill, was arrested Monday for criminal trespass at Walmart.

Katina Pacheco, 44, of Tahlequah, was arrested last week for allegedly embezzling more than $5,600 worth of merchandise from Walmart while she was employed there.

In other matters, officers spoke to Sazare Marquez on Sunday about a burglary.

Walmart employees spoke with officers last week after a man and woman tried to leave the store without paying for items.
