Sheriff's Beat: Hulbert man reports burglary

TAHLEQUAH — Deputies with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department were called to investigate a burglary report on Thursday.

A Hulbert man said his barn on Clear Creek Road was entered after the lock was cut Missing items include custom rods and reels, two lawn trimmers and a wrench socket set.

On Thursday, a man called the sheriff’s department to file an informational report alleging that he and his girlfriend were being threatened with violence by his father. The man did not wish to press charges.

A Locust Grove woman told deputies that her washer and driver and a stovepipe were stolen from her home. The report also cited damage to two windows and two mirrors, and a knife stuck in a wall. The knife was taken as evidence.

On Feb. 15, a Tahlequah man was issued citations for speeding and misdemeanor marijuana possession during a traffic stop.
