Sheriff’s deputies take burglary report last week

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a burglary report last week.

Jeff Travis said someone took a 55-inch flatscreen TV, a Dell laptop, a Winchester 12-gauge pump shotgun, a single-action 22 pistol, a Remington 22, a Skil cordless drill, ammunition, and other items.

In other matters, deputies arrested Randy Creek, 57, on Wednesday for outstanding warrants.

Employees at the Log Store south of Tahlequah told deputies recently that a woman ran from the store without paying for a 30-pack of Bud Light.

Cytilya Taylor reported an assault Wednesday.

Deputies filed a death-investigation report Wednesday on Cora Lee Carter, 81, of Tahlequah. The report lists natural causes as the likely manner of death.
