Woman nabbed for public intox

TAHLEQUAH — County sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman Wednesday for public intoxication.

Deputies said they were called to 585 Road to check on a woman who was trying to get into a home with a weapon. Marlee Dwala Freeman, 27, appeared to be intoxicated. Deputies said Freeman didn’t have a weapon, but a kitchen knife was in her car.

Deputies spoke to Willie Cooper Tuesday after someone tried to take copper.

William Phillips filed a report about suspicious activity Monday.
