Deputies take report after break-in at barn

TAHLEQUAH — Cherokee County sheriff’s deputies took a report Wednesday after a local break-in.

Austin Bennett said someone broke a window out of a barn, entered the barn and cut pad locks off a sliding door. Bennett said a riding lawn mower was taken from the barn.

George Deardeuff reported two firearms being stolen Wednesday, including a Remington pump shotgun and a Stevens 22 semi-automatic.

An assistant manager at Garden Walk Apartments reported a break-in at an apartment.

Waynita Philpott reported a stolen Dewalt dual-tank air compressor Wednesday.
