Man jailed for auto theft

TAHLEQUAH — A Tahlequah man was arrested on March 28 on complaints of auto theft. Justin M. Hunter, 24, was reported to have taken the vehicle from a residence on Hickory street. Police said the vehicle’s owner chased the suspect down the street and later identified Hunter when he was in police custody.

Aaron W. Abel, 20, of Tahlequah was arrested on March 28 for vandalism to an automobile.

Leah Warren filed a fraud report on March 27, and said someone used her credit card on two separate occasions without authorization.

Garrett Winkel filed a theft report on March 28. He told detectives  his truck was broken into and a black Acer laptop was stolen.

Peggy Kellogg-Wade spoke to police March 18, saying an unknown suspect stole a horse trailer and a registered horse from her Golf Course Road residence.
