Man arrested for public intox after making threats


TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a man on Sunday after he allegedly threatened others with an axe handle.

Larry Pfeil, 57, of Tahlequah, was booked into jail on charges of public intoxication.

Emily Bear, 28, of Tahlequah, was arrested Saturday after police were called to Sonic Drive-In. Callers told police Bear and another woman had been inside a vehicle, apparently asleep, for several hours, and attempts at waking the women were unsuccessful. Bear was arrested for actual physical control while under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Police cited a man Saturday for possession of paraphernalia. Officers said the man dropped a black and silver pipe and attempted to kick it under a vehicle.

Lawrence Martin spoke to police Saturday and said his storage unit on Legion Road was broken into. Martin said the suspect stole a Treble sewing machine with a retractable top, on Treble sewing machine with a non-retractable top, a washer and dryer, a cherry headboard, footboard and dresser, and an oak headboard, footboard and dresser. Martin said the glass on the front of a China cabinet was also shattered.

Seth Manning spoke to police Friday and said someone burglarized his home.

Michael Page told police Saturday that a trailer was stolen from a church.
