Two booked for theft

TAHLEQUAH — Two people were arrested by police Monday after they were caught trying to sell stolen items.

Micheal Zamora, 37, and Charles McClellan, 30, both of Tahlequah, were arrested after Efrain Zepeda said two men were prowling around his property and stole two bags of cans and other metal items. Police said they quickly found Zamora and McClellan at a nearby recycling business, where they were selling the stolen items.

In other matters, Tahlequah police arrested Tyler H. Osburn, 27, of Tahlequah, on Tuesday for driving under the influence.

Lashawn Dana spoke with police Monday about being the victim of fraud. Dana said she was told by a local business she has an outstanding balance from 2006, but she lived in California in 2006 and believes another person may have created the debt in her name.

Bartis Kent spoke with police Monday after he learned of unauthorized withdrawals from his bank account. The withdrawals occurred in Pachuca, Mexico.

Victoria Gleason spoke with police Monday after her purse was taken while she was at Reasor’s.
