Woman jailed after disturbance call

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah police arrested a local woman early Tuesday morning after a disturbance call.

Taylor Pierce, 18, was booked into jail for driving under the influence. Officer Pam Bell said she first spoke with Pierce while investigating a disturbance.

Pierce appeared to be intoxicated and wanted to leave the home to find her boyfriend. Bell said she told Pierce repeatedly she should not be driving because she was intoxicated. Pierce allegedly admitted she had been drinking, and told the officer she wanted to go to sleep. Bell left the apartment and a few minutes later received a report from a Cherokee Nation marshal, who saw Pierce get into a vehicle and drive away. Bell found the vehicle, conducted a traffic stop and arrested Pierce.
