Disturbance prompts arrest

TAHLEQUAH — Tahlequah Police Department officers arrested a man Wednesday after responding to a reported disturbance at the Love’s convenience store at 111 E. Downing St.

Police intervened to stop a physical altercation in the parking lot. Officers arrested Cheyenne Morris, 21, on suspicion of assault and battery against Taylor Warren, 24.

Also on Wednesday, police arrested a woman at the Cherokee Hills apartment complex at 200 W. Monroe St. Susan Scroggins, 42, was arrested after police responded to a witness report, and a complaint of a vehicle burglary from Jonathan Rhoads.

The witness identified the person seen in the vehicle as Scroggins, and gave her apartment number. The manager told officers that Scroggins was banned from the complex. Officers were allowed entry into the apartment by a woman. Police report finding Scroggins and items matching descriptions of items missing from the Rhoads’ vehicle.

Scroggins was booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of second degree burglary, grand larceny, criminal trespassing and two counts of knowingly concealing stolen property.

Police took a report Wednesday from a woman citing a domestic assault and battery.

Louis Coday, 45, was arrested for DUI near the airport on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Santana Manuel Marmol, 22, was arrested for public intoxication behind Ned’s, 316 N. Muskogee Ave.

On March 25, police responded to a burglary report at a residence in the 1900 block of White Avenue.

Also on March 25, officers arrested Geoff Johnson, 29, on suspicion of petit larceny of $59.76 worth of merchandise from the Walmart Supercenter at 2020 S. Muskogee Ave.
